I need to start today’s blog with a big apology for not being able to post the past 2 months due to computer woes, then purchasing an Apple which has been a huge learning curve for me, then having trouble getting into WordPress! I love all of Kim Vogel Sawyer’s books, and was so happy to receive this one for review as I’ve been waiting since the first book to find out if Suzanne will reunite with her former love. It is the third story in The Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy, a saga covering three generations of an Old Order Mennonite family. I hope you have read the other two book in this series–When Mercy Rains, and When Grace Sings. Spoiler Alert: You may want to read them first before proceeding with this review! Or, you can read those reviews on this blog by searching for the titles or KimVogel Sawyer.
In the first two books, we learn of the unwed pregnancy of Suzanne Zimmerman whose mother sent her away as a teen, in order to not shame her family. But, she is back at the homestead now and has made peace with her mother, but there are still secrets to be uncovered in the Zimmerman family and those whose lives touch theirs. A satisfying ending to this story, but I also see a chance for one or two more books in the series, so we can all hope for that!
