Guest blog by Toni Shiloh about her newest book

Welcome to a long time online friend—Toni Shiloh

Thank you so much for having me on your blog today, Rose. I wanted to talk about my latest release, Returning Home, book one in the Freedom Lake series. I wrote this book about two years and it was my first full-length novel so it holds a special place in my heart.

Jo Ellen Baker runs her dad’s renovation business. She’s going through life wishing and hoping that luck holds out and things go her way. But with the return of her childhood nemesis, Evan Carter, she realizes lucks just not going to cut it. She’s been running from the Lord for awhile now. So Returning Home is much more than the character returning to the fictional town of Freedom Lake, it’s about their return to the kingdom. To return to the folds of the body of Christ

and rest in the peace of Jesus Christ.

I pray this book blesses you as much as it blessed me when I wrote it.

Back cover Blurb –

Jo Ellen Baker is shocked to find out that the boy who teased her mercilessly throughout high school, has returned to their hometown of Freedom Lake, and he’s missing a leg. When his mother asks her to renovate their carriage house to give him a place to gain his independence back, she wants to say no. But one look at him brings a rush of forgotten feelings.

Evan Carter can’t believe he has to return home and live with his parents. Every hope and dream he ever had dissipated in a car crash that cost him his leg. Stuck in a wheelchair, he’s forced to reexamine his relationship with God and the local carpenter, Jo Ellen Baker.

Will renovating his home open the door for a mended relationship, or are some wounds too deep to heal from?
