Julane Hiebert and her Debut Novel, Robin

Are  you ready to read Robin by Julane Hiebert? Are you ready to have your socks knocked off by a debut author? I cut my teeth by reading “prairie romances” and this has got to be one of the best debut historical novels I have read in a long time. Julane Hiebert grew up on the prairie in Kansas, and now lives on a lake in the beautiful Flint Hills there, and knows and describes them both  in a way that you feel like you’re inside the story with the characters!

In the first book in the Brides of a Feather series, we meet Robin Wenghold waiting alone at a train station in Cedar Bluff, Kansas, and you immediately sympathize with her. And, you soon grow to love her as you read about how caring she is with those she meets on this journey to her new home. All is not easy for Robin, but she makes the best she can of each situation, and falls in love despite many roadblocks. She is a survivor, and a caregiver, and has enough love in her heart to make a difference wherever God places her.

And, if you love this book, there are two more in the series–Lark and Wren. So pick a cold winter weekend and read Robin, as you won’t want to leave the house until you are finished with this gripping read.
