Welcome back to my blog, Shannon Vannatter. I know my readers enjoyed learning about your rodeo books in the past. And thanks for doing a special giveaway this time. (read below for info)
Reuniting with the Cowboy by Shannon Taylor Vannatter
Reuniting with the Cowboy started out with a working title of Rodeo Crossroads. It was supposed to be the final book in my rodeo series. But then the Heartsong Presents line closed leaving four books on my contract in limbo. But God gave me another blessing. Harlequin decided to honor my contract through the Love Inspired line.
So now, Reuniting with the Cowboy ends the rodeo series in Aubrey, TX and kicks off a new cowboy series set in Bandera.
I’d long wanted to write Cody Warren’s story. He was the hero’s younger brother in Rodeo Queen. When it came time to write his story, I had to figure out a heroine for him. I remembered Ally, also from Rodeo Queen – the heroine’s best friend whose dad was a policeman killed in the line of duty. I hinted at their story in my last release, Rodeo Reunion. Add my love for animals and it was a fun story to write. Here’s the back cover copy:
The Cowboy Next Door A charming cowboy moving in next door shouldn’t be bad news. But veterinarian Ally Curtis knows Cody Warren—she’d never forget the boy who left her when she needed him most. Cody is doing everything he can to show his beautiful neighbor he’s not the wild bull rider he once was, from helping her find homes for her beloved strays, to protecting her when her business is threatened. But Cody has a secret that keeps him from fully reaching out. Yet as they continue to work together to promote her shelter, he can’t keep himself from hoping that Ally might have a home for him…in her heart.

Hi Rose, this is Rose McCauley posting this for Shannon Vannatter as she is having trouble getting onto my site. This is the message from her to you: “Oh Rose, congrats on your new nephew. Boys are a different species but so fun. I used to spend hours with my son setting up a farm or a Bob the Builder town. We’d get it all set up and then he’d make a tornado come through. Or a T Rex. And knock it all down. Then we’d start over. Good luck in the drawing.”
ps. Gayle De Salles is my webmaster!
Would love to read this book. I did read about the author and her love for coffee. It was a wonderful story . Thank you for hosting and the chance to win her book.

I love reading western themed books and Shannon’s book sounds like a wonderful story. The memory board is sweet too. It would make a great baby gift.
Hi MaryAnn, altho this reply says it is from Gayle DeSalles who is my web master, it is a message from Shannon who is having trouble posting to my site today. Hope we get it cleared up soon. “Glad you popped in. I made curtains, the crib bed ruffle, and the comforter out of that fabric. I still have them in a box in the attic.”
Yay. I’m back. I don’t know what was up with that. I could go anywhere I wanted on the net, except Rose’s blog. This afternoon, our net went down for a few hours. And now I can get on. Weird
