In 2009, I had the privilege of Traveling to the Ukraine with a mission group. We spent much of our time visiting an orphanage and doing VBS-type Bible lessons, crafts and plays with the children. We also attended several churches in the Donetsk area. The people we met were very friendly and loving. They also loved the Lord and we all worshipped Him together.
That is why I was distressed when I received a message two nights ago saying that some time ago, all protestant churches in a certain area of Eastern Ukraine had been expected to turn in their papers for registration, so they did. But they were all turned down and now have been informed that their buildings will be confiscated and they are not allowed to meet in homes.
We pray for them and for this very thing not to happen elsewhere. So please add the wonderful Ukrainian people to your list of persecuted Christians to pray for. And also pray for the persecutors that they may see and accept the Light of the Lord Jesus Christ. Shine, Jesus, shine, fill this land with the Father’s glory!
